Heronsview will accommodate six people, in two double bedrooms (one with en-suite), and a room with bunk beds (full sized). If you are looking to bring together a group of family and friends for a getaway in an area of outstanding natural beauty, then Herons View could be for you!

The lounge is wonderfully comfortable with large double-glazed windows overlooking idyllic views of the meadow leading to the lake . Just outside is a roofed decking area with outdoor seating and a new six-person hot tub.

The garden is safe and secure for dogs, and there are numerous walks you can enjoy starting from the lodge. A few minutes walk away is the famous Hotel Rudyard, with its real ales, carvery, and welcoming bar area (again very dog friendly). Five minutes drive away is the market town of Leek, said to be the friendliest in the Peak district, with numerous pubs, eateries and quaint shopping areas. Many of the restaurants will also deliver to the door of your lodge!

And right on the doorstep is the famous Rudyard Lake, a haven of peace and tranquility, offering various water based activities, a cafe and beautiful walks that can take you right around the lake.

If you’d like to cater for yourselves the lodge has a fully equipped kitchen with oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, all the pots, pans and crockery you could ever need, and we also provide tea, coffee, sugar and oil to get you started with some basics.

The hot tub is pretty much brand new, and you can enjoy gazing at the lake and or the stars as you relax after a hard day’s chilling!
